ODT Audition: Will Drake
William Drake stepped into the magic circle he had prepared, ready to make another try at getting out of this nightmare. Trapped in this lost recess of time, Will's grip on his sanity had waned severely in the ten years since he had woke to this small, dust covered room with no exit. He didn't know how he knew ten years had passed, or why he hadn't aged, only that the time passed and he was still nineteen. At first he thought he had finally been caught by the conclave, but something here was wrong. It was as if he had simply slipped through a crack in reality and fallen...somewhere else. This strange place kept him from suffering fro

The Old Man's Tale
Nick couldn't place him, but there was something familiar about the old man at the bar. He had white hair and he carried a beautiful hand carved cane, though he didn't seem to need it. For his advanced years he was in pretty good shape. He reminded Nick of a picture of his grandfather who had died before he was born. There were other people in the bar, but the old man had been in there far longer than any of the others. Customers had come and gone, but the old man had remained. He wasn't drinking himself into oblivion, he was actually pretty sober, drinking as much water as alcohol. He wasn't here to socialize e
Dust fell from the ceiling and Evan felt a slight tremble go throughout the entrance. It must have been one of those new kinetic energy weapons the adults were always worrying about. This deep in the mountains nothing else could have been felt. He hoped, not for the first time, that this place really was as secret as everyone claimed, because Captain Mallory said that even this place wouldn’t survive a full KEW barrage, and she was the smartest person he knew.
Another one hit, this time closer, and the lights dimmed suddenly. The voice on the loudspeaker declared that this was merely an extra precaution against detection, an
Sir Edric pulled the last thorn out of his side with a wince. One blunder after another had led him tumbling into that poisonous patch of blackwood briars. Ironically, the poisonous barbs had probably saved his life since that briar patch was the last thing on the edge of the ravine. He was going to suffer for a couple of weeks, but at least he was alive.
Still, he needed to find shelter before the poison did its work. Stumbling further through the dark wood, he wished for the hundredth time that he hadn’t gotten it in his head to go after the Silver Star, whatever it was. Vague legends and a crude map weren’t exactly reliable in

Legends of the Solari Culture Package
Politics of the Galaxy With political intrigue, conflict, and unrest all across the galaxy, the political scene of the galaxy is rife with turmoil. Each faction has their own agenda, and the council often dissolves into useless bickering and grandstanding. Despite the flaws in the system, the people of the galaxy mostly manage to get along with their lives, and technology, information, and resources are traded, if not openly, at least often. The dream of a unifying council of the races is full of corruption, but somehow or other manages to keep relative peace nonetheless.

Legends of the Solari Introduction
Kao sat uncomfortably. The Spiral served mostly off-worlders, but it was far from the Draconis League worlds, and rarely had to accommodate his kind. He dwarfed the seat made for particularly obese Goffans, and even seated he was taller than most of the standing patrons. Looking around, he saw that there were only a few Liskani in the bar, despite Kriss being a Liskani world. He saw a group of Goffan merchants celebrating some large haul and nervously eyeing the Jatta explorers seated only a couple of tables away, chattering away about their recent journey, and where they would go next. Kao had always liked the little ratlings, but you had
